A team from Energy Assets completed the gruelling 72 hour 6 Peaks Challenge and raised £13000 for WaterAid
Having returned from a successful Six Peaks Challenge... we are pleased to announce the team completed the challenge within the allotted 72 hours.
With aching legs and battling against the elements we managed to scale the last peak in Southern Ireland on monday 4th July. The weather was very kind to us throughout the event (apart from the last mountain Corran Tuathail) which began on Snaefell the Isle of Man on July 1st and ended on Corran Tuathail July 4th.
The entire team did Energy Assets proud and we are glad to report that the team are safe and well. We had some great laughs during our road trip in the Livingston FC mini bus plus many hours of torture on the mountains as we pushed ourselves to complete the hardest thing any of us had endured before.
From the outset we decided as a team that we would take in as much of the mountains as we could. We were so priviliged to get views off 5 of the 6 peaks that we did stop regularly to breathe in the beauty our great islands have to offer.
We would like to thank all the people who sponsored us either privately or corporately. Currently our pot is around the £13k mark.
Pictured below is John Crossan of Danwood Scotland wishing us well before we departed for the first mountain in our splendid sponsored jackets.
