Scottish Energy Minister Fergus Ewing opens the new Energy Assets' offices in Livingston.
Mr Ewing in his official capacity of Energy Minister attended the offices to understand the impact that Energy Assets are having on the UK energy market and the local community in terms of the team based at 6 Almondvale. After a short presentation by the CEO Phil Bellamy-Lee about the company and its aspirations, Mr Ewing was introduced to senior board members from the parent company Macquarie. A meet and greet took place with the office base staff which gave the minister an opportunity to see at first hand the daily workings of Energy Assets.

After unveiling a commemorative plaque celebrating the event Mr Ewing was introduced to two of the winners from local schools, Dechmont and Maccanhill that took apart in an art competition entitled "what does Energy mean to you?". He presented Jack Cowan and Libby Hague with a framed original of their picture and some Argos vouchers, their teachers present were also presented with a cheque for £1000 each for their schools participation. In total nine images were selected as winners and the artwork has been reproduced and used to adorn the new offices.
