In February 2012 an important milestone was achieved on the roadmap for Energy Assets and the Siteworks team with the accreditation of GIRS being granted.
This award is critical for the business to move to the next level, as more of the service provision is brought in-house to ensure a seamless project from concept to gasification.
The accreditation enables Energy Assets to further increase their customer service levels at both the quote and construction stage. In addition to the service level benefits, the accreditation also provides clients with assurance that their project is in safe hands. The accreditation is a seal of approval from the industry approved assessor (Lloyds) that EA’s processes, systems and staff deliver the high safety and technical standards set within the industry. To further support our operational and clients’ needs Energy Assets have attained ISO 9001:2008 for all group activities.
The GIRS accreditation mark represents the next step in the evolvement of the Energy Assets group in meeting our clients' expectations by offering a comprehensive solution to all their gas engineering requirements. Ricky Rogers Technical Services Manager for Siteworks was given the task of ensuring the business was ready for the assessment and he managed the accreditation process.
Ricky said of the award
“Gaining accreditation for Design scope under the Gas Industry Registration Scheme (GIRS) allows us the flexibility to tailor our product offering to the client’s needs. We are able to maximise the skills of our internal teams, who are now able to deal directly with the distribution network owners such as National Grid for example on all design and project management matters. We are now able to directly control and influence all steps along the way to getting gas on to our clients’ sites”
Energy Assets is a proven team of gas experts with extensive knowledge in design, construction and provision of metering solutions who work with their clients to comply and exceed their energy strategies and commitments
