Energy Assets continues to invest in equipping existing and newly promoted managers with the skills they need to contribute to the Groups growing commercial success.
Over the last 18 months, 36 managers have completed the Managing People for Growth (Management Programme) – a three month workshop-based course focused on helping individuals develop the key skills they will need in their everyday roles. Energy Assets deliver this programme in partnership with Scottish Enterprise.
Throughout the course there were a number of modules with each module providing key learning support in core management areas, including;
- The role of the manager
- Empowering individuals and teams
- Communication and assertiveness
- Coaching and delegation
- Managing individual performance and
- Creating a culture of innovation
“This is a valuable foundation course that aims to shape the behaviours of managers by equipping them with the skills they need to fulfil their roles effectively when working with their teams day-to-day,” says Will Moir, Head of Learning and Development. “The structure of the programme means that each individual has the opportunity to work on areas of strengths and development areas in a supportive environment and then apply their learning in the workplace.”
