Energy Assets Utilities Expands Footprint

Energy Assets Utilities (EAU), one of Britain’s leading utility network infrastructure providers, is growing its operational footprint after securing the meter assets and existing Siteworks business of Bedford-based Commercial Gas Solutions Limited (CGSL).

The deal will see Energy Assets (EA) assume responsibility for CGSL’s meter asset portfolio, while all future siteworks projects will be channelled through Energy Assets Utilities, the specialist multi-utility network design and build division launched in January 2015. Brian Baldwin and David Larkins of CGSL are retiring from their posts as directors but they remain committed for a period of time to ensure a smooth handover to Energy Assets. Both Brian and David are pleased that EAU will continue to service their clients with the same diligence and expertise that CGSL have delivered over the past years.

Brian Baldwin said

“ It’s fitting that a company such as Energy Assets has secured our assets, the expertise and breadth of knowledge they bring to our existing customer base provides confidence that our good work we have built up over the years will continue and grow. Over the coming months we will be around to ensure a smooth transition of the assets and relationships accordingly ”

The addition of the CGSL portfolio and customer base will strengthen Energy Assets Utilities’ nationwide reach into residential and commercial markets. The deal follows on from the recent appointments of Sean Waters and Craig Topley as southern commercial and operational directors respectively.

Colin Lynch, Managing Director of Energy Assets Utilities, commented:

“Since its formation, CGSL has built a broad client base, including developers, gas suppliers, architects, consultants, restaurant chains and energy brokers, and has gained an excellent reputation for the quality of its gas network design and installation services up and downstream of meter points. This commitment to excellence mirrors our own approach to multi utility network provision and as such this is an excellent fit for Energy Assets Utilities as we look to grow our market reach.”
