Our people get ‘tough’ for local charities

Congratulations to the Energy Assets teams who went the extra mile to raise money for local charities in June – and raised a total of more than £3,000.

Seven staff from our Livingston office took on the full Tough Mudder challenge, an endurance event involving a 12-mile obstacle course testing mental and physical strength.

They raised £1,775 for Maggies Centre, which provides support to cancer patients at the Western General Hospital in Edinburgh.

On the same day and in miserable weather, 11 staff from both our Alva and Livingston offices took part in the West Lothian Youth Foundation (WLYF) 24:12 Walk with the Foundation, completing a 24 mile walk along the West Highland Way in 12 hours or less. They raised £1,339 for the Foundation, which encourages access to healthy sporting activity within the community.

Congratulations to all those who gave their time and effort in raising such significant amounts for these  charities who provide care, help and support in the local community.
