Karen Robinson Joins EAU as Regional DirectorA lean process specialist whose career spans high level politics and leadership roles in the energy sector has joined Energy Assets Utilities (EAU), one of Britain’s most innovative utilities network construction businesses.
Karen Robinson has been appointed Regional Operations Director at EAU’s Leeds office in West Yorkshire, having moved to the company from Northern Gas Networks, where amongst her achievements was the development and implementation of an award-winning customer service strategy.

Getting IT right for Information SecurityEnergy Assets has successfully completed its ISO27001 information security audit, confirming the integrity of company’s processes and procedures for managing commercial and personal data.
Head of IT James Walker guided Energy Assets through the recent 2-day assessment, with auditors particularly impressed with business continuity planning and implementation in response to the COVID-19 pandemic and its impact on operations.

AI Powers DINO for Smarter Local Energy NetworksA pilot project that aims to show how artificial intelligence (AI) can be used to prevent local power networks being overloaded during the projected rapid rise in demand for electricity has been launched with co-funding from Innovate UK, the UK’s innovation agency.
Project DINO (Domestic Infrastructure and Network Optimisation) - a partnership between Evergreen Smart Power, Energy Assets Networks and Myenergi - will demonstrate in a newbuild residential setting how AI can safeguard network integrity through two-way communication with household appliances. It is the first project of its type in the UK.

Energy Assets Adapts and Innovates for Latest AuditEnergy Assets Limited recently had a five day audit with a leading global certification body consisting of two separate auditors running separate parallel sessions across the three management systems that are currently used by our business. Normally the audit would have taken place in our offices and an engineering field visit would have been built in.

Energy Assets Aims to be the ‘Zero’ HeroesEmployees at Energy Assets (EA) are marking Global Recycling Day on March 18 in the best possible way – by closing in on a company-wide objective to cut landfill waste to zero.
Two years ago, roughly 60% of the general waste produced by EA and Energy Assets Utilities (EAU) ended up in landfill. Now, following the introduction of a far-reaching environmental strategy involving all employees across the network of offices, only 4% reaches landfill – a figure set to reduce to zero landfill by December 2020. It also produces enough energy from food waste to power a home for 45 days.
