EAU Recruits Service Specialist to Support Growing Customer Base

Energy Assets Utilities (EAU) has recruited an award-winning customer service specialist to help our company keep pace with our growing pipeline of projects with housebuilders and commercial and industrial developers.

Becky Pickles joins EAU at Birstall in the newly-created role of Customer Manager and will be leading on service innovations to support our ‘mains to meter’ ICP and UIP accredited design and construction expertise.

Becky has extensive multi-utility experience, having worked for major energy providers and distribution network operators in a career that includes gold award recognition at a major industry event for customer service innovation.

As Becky explains: “EAU is growing strongly, so it is vital that we keep our focus on meeting the needs of our customers during this expansion. My role is to ensure that the business adds value to every project from the earliest engagement through to completion, so that we deliver our vision to become the utility network construction partner of choice.”

Becky is also aware of her position as a role model in what remains a male dominated environment.

Says Becky: “This is an industry that provides great opportunities for professional progression, and I would certainly encourage female school leavers and graduates to consider the career opportunities opening up in a sector that will play a pivotal role in delivering the UK’s Net Zero targets.”

Energy Assets Champions Safety In The Gas Industry

At Energy Assets we are committed to protecting our people, customers and the environment. Safety is of paramount importance. On Thursday 24th October, employees from Energy Assets attended a gas safety event hosted by the IGEM Scottish Section.

The event, held in Glasgow at the Teledyne Gas Measurement Instrument (GMI) factory, saw gas industry experts from across Scotland, and even from the USA, come together for an innovative and hands-on tour filled with demonstrations surrounding the topic of gas detection and safety.

Energy Savings Tips for Businesses During Lockdown

Lockdown will mean fewer people in offices and retail outlets around Britain, but for business energy managers it does provide an opportunity to optimise energy performance in buildings before the return (hopefully) to normal operations in the coming months.
