Energy Assets makes recruitment personal with the launch of a new candidate portal

Today, Monday 15th February, Energy Assets launches a new recruitment portal to improve the experience of candidates as they search and apply for roles within the business.

EA Recruit is a fresh and innovative recruitment portal developed to help job hunters navigate recruitment opportunities and monitor progress as they move through the process. This initiative aims to provide a first class experience to candidates from their first point of contact, because we understand that applying for a new role can be a daunting experience. Through EA Recruit, we want everyone to feel comfortable with dealing with our company.

At Energy Assets, we are embracing the evolution of technology, including remote working, as part of our People Strategy, which aims to attract, develop, reward and retain talent with our Group. To do this, we are investing in new people focused systems, process and ways of working to reflect the digital world we live in.

Candidate experience

  • Anyone looking to apply for a job with Energy Assets can register as a candidate with us and create their own unique candidate ID simply by visiting the ‘Careers’ page of our website. This ID can then be used to track job applications and view previous application history as well enabling candidates to review all new roles as they go live.
  • Candidate applications made online will be automatically acknowledged, with status updates communicated throughout the recruitment process. This enables a more personalised approach.

Group HR Director Jennifer Faichney said: “Our People Strategy is underpinned by a detailed people plan. The launch of EA Recruit provides a personalised experience for potential employees from the first moment they engage with us. Our new start onboarding process is also being enhanced to reflect the framework of our core values and vision.”

We firmly believe that our employees are central to our success and it is through their support that we will ultimately deliver our business goals. Everyone at the Energy Assets Group shares a mindset to contribute to our vision, our values and our success, which means having the right people with the right skills in place at the right time. People who champion our culture and live and breathe our values, enabling everyone to be the very best they can be.

Dave McEwan, Recruitment Coordinator added: “Recruitment is evolving – it is radically different even from a year ago. As an agile and innovative organisation, we are constantly recruiting for a variety of exciting roles across our offices throughout Great Britain, from planners and business development specialists to gas mains engineers and data settlement analysts…and everything in between. Due to COVID-19, the virtual recruitment of remote workers is the new norm for many just now and it is a method we are embracing at Energy Assets, but in a way that places candidates at the heart of the process.”

EA Recruit reflects our mission to be the leading independent provider of multi-utility metering and network services, delivering efficiency, innovation and value. An organisation which is trusted to meet the needs of our stakeholders in a safe, reliable and sustainable manner. As an employer of choice, we are making it as easy as possible for candidates to take the next step to an exciting future.

Lockdown will mean fewer people in offices and retail outlets around Britain, but for business energy managers it does provide an opportunity to optimise energy performance in buildings before the return (hopefully) to normal operations in the coming months.
