Businesses within our Group operate across Britain, strictly in accordance with the COVID-Secure protocols that apply in each nation.

The professionalism of our people, and the safety procedures we have put in place, enable us to continue delivering vital utility construction, energy metering and network services.  Our guiding principle remains ‘Safety First – Safety Always’, for the Energy Assets team, our customers, our suppliers and the wider community.

For construction sites, Energy Assets Utilities’ operations maintain adherence to the rigorous working practices developed and deployed for the return-to-work phase. Energy Assets Networks & Pipelines, our local network ownership businesses, continues to provide essential electricity and gas network operations and connections, while our metering projects are being delivered in close consultation with customers.

We continue to provide essential maintenance and support for our gas and electricity metering and data assets to meet our obligations for our customers’ settlement activities. This requires close consultation with energy suppliers to maintain important meter exchanges, installations and other work in line with customer requirements…always within strict COVID guidelines.

At all times, we ensure compliance with all government regulations with ultimate concern for the of our people. Our default position remains that office-based staff should work from home, until circumstances change.

These remain challenging times for everyone, but thanks to our resilience planning and the professionalism of our people, the support we provide to our customers, industry partners and some of Britain’s frontline services continues. As always, we review COVID-19 protocols on a continuous basis to ensure we maintain the safest possible working environment for all.
