We place a large emphasis on safety and wellbeing. As Britain’s trusted utilities and metering services provider, it’s our responsibility to arrange and maintain safe working arrangements where possible. We put safety first in all our operating practices to protect our employees, customers, and the public from the unnecessary risks.

We’re also aware of our impact on the environment and are looking to add ISO50001 (Energy Management) to our existing ISO14001 environmental management system. This will allow us to drive further efficiencies and lessen our environmental impact.

We maintain our Meter Operator (MOP) and Data Collector and Data Aggregator (DC/DA) accreditations for both Half-Hourly (HH) and Non-Half-Hourly (NHH) meters.

The AMR Service Providers Code of Practice (ASPCoP) defines the operations, standards, and methods by which metered gas consumption data is read and supplied to customers, energy suppliers or others.

We’re an approved Meter Asset Manager (MAM) and Approved Meter Installer (AMI) accredited by the RECCo Gas Meter Manager Code of Practice (MCoP) for all categories of work. MCoP applies to organisations undertaking and managing primary meter installations connected to Britain’s network.

The Meter Operation Code of Practice Agreement (MOCOPA) is an agreement between Electricity Distribution Businesses and Electricity Meter Operators in Britain which defines safety, technical, and business interface requirements regarding the provision of meter operation services.

We’re accredited in ISO 27001 for Information Security Management Systems.

The Gas Safe Register is the only official gas registration body of gas businesses and engineers in the United Kingdom, Isle of Man and Guernsey. By law all gas businesses must be on the Gas Safe Register.

ATEX is an international standard that defines the minimum safety requirements and suitability of equipment that’s intended to be fitted in or near to a potentially explosive gas atmosphere.

We only install devices that comply with ATEX. The equipment is installed by our engineers who are trained in meeting the full requirements of the standard.

We have several SSIP certifications, including:
Acclaim, Achilles UVDB, Achilles UVDB Verify – Category B2, Constructionline, CHAS, SMAS, Altius, Alcumus (SafeContractor) and Helios (RSQS).

 


We’re gas safe registered

All our gas metering operations are undertaken by competent persons who meet Gas Safe legal requirements. Our engineers are Gas Safe Registered for all categories of meter work, and we also have engineers who are registered to work downstream of the meter installation.

We hold GT/2 approvals from the Gas Transporters for undertaking work within the scope of their categories C1, C2, C3A and C3B, and are experienced at obtaining necessary site-specific Gas Transporter approvals for more complex category C4A and C4B jobs.

We’re also corporate members of the Institution of Gas Engineers and Managers (IGEM).
