Berkley Homes Award One Tower Bridge Project to Energy Assets Utilities

Berkeley Homes appointed Energy Assets Utilities to design and build the infrastructure solution for the project.

Programme

The mixed use development at One Tower Bridge, London Borough of Southwark, was a large scale project for Berkeley Homes. Southwark Council granted the company planning permission to build 406 flats, 13 small commercial premises, 2 large commercial sites and establish 20 landlord supplies on the sought after riverside site.

Energy Assets Utilities (EAU) provided an interesting design and programme which allowed the client to have the substations constructed above the basement car park.

Our Solution

Berkeley Homes appointed EAU to design and build the infrastructure solution for the project. This involved a load of 3,141kVA and connection to an 11kv network, as well as liaising with the IDNO, ESP Electricity. In addition to this EAU provided a 1000kVA temporary building supply, which delivered power to the site, while the main grid connections were being installed.
